Wine Spectator
Broad, supple, ripe and expressive, with a dense texture, this red is deep in flavor, roiling with black currant, mint and licorice flavors. Finishes with intensity. Drink now through 2020. 200 cases imported.

Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
Reviewer, Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Deep garnet-purple, the 2010 Avalon Tree Cabernet Sauvignon reveals pronounced notes of creme de cassis, chocolate box and menthol with hints of cedar, toast and lavender. Full-bodied with a very good concentration of minted black fruit flavors, it has a solid backbone of medium to firm grainy tannins and crisp acid, finishing long.

Full ruby. Lively redcurrant and cherry on the nose, with a floral quality adding complexity. Firm cherry and cassis flavors show very good depth, with juicy acidity adding clarity and lift. Aeration brings up sweeter blackberry and mocha notes that linger on the spicy, persistent finish.

Region :
Australia

With the sixth largest wine industry in the world, Australia exports over 100,000,000 gallons a year. Climate conditions vary widely across Australia's many wine regions, creating ideal growing conditions for all of the Vitis vinifera varieties as well as "alternative" varietals like Tempranillo and Viognier, which are gaining popularity. Shiraz (Syrah) is the country's signature grape and the primary ingredient in Australia's most  famous wine Penfolds Grange, which critic Robert Parker compared to Bordeaux's famous Petrus.  Australian winemakers are know for their innovation, pioneering many viticultural techniques that they ritually share with their Northern Hemisphere-brethren during off-season travel.
