Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is a versatile red wine grape used to make some of the world's greatest wines. Depending on where it is grown, Pinot Noir can be earthy or fruity, light-bodied or heavy, pale garnet or deep red. In France, Pinot Noir produces fine red Burgundy and is one of the three grapes used in Champagne (the skins are removed prior to fermentation to produce blanc de noir or "white from red.") It is also considered the most diverse, food-friendly wine

Carneros
Cool and wind-whipped, the appellation known as Los Carneros straddles the coastal borders of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. With thin soils, little rainfall and intense northern sun that draws the fog from San Pablo Bay, Los Carneros is a challenging microclimate with just the right growing conditions for cool-climate varietals. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sparkling wines are all produced here with excellent results

California
Since the famous Judgement of Paris in 1976 California wines have unquestionably ranked among the best in the world. From the Anderson Valley in the North through Temecula Valley in the South, California vineyards grow dozens of wine grape varietals that produce wines of many different styles. The California wine industry has steadily gained ground since the 1960s (the industry took a major hit following Prohibition), but its roots date back over 200 years. Major grape varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc.
