Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
Slightly more exotic and aromatically complex is the 2008 Syrah Cinematique Larner Vineyard (95% Syrah co-fermented with 5% Viognier). Gorgeous aromas of spring flowers, black olives, blackberries, black currants, and raspberries jump from the glass of this full-bodied, intense, complex, elegant Syrah. Superb purity, a seamless mouthfeel, and a tremendously long finish with no hard edges suggest it can be enjoyed now and over the next decade.

Winery Notes
Winery Notes:
Riper notes on the nose: Black cherry, anise, with some black pepper and tulip flowers. This wine is full-bodied and luscious, but velvety, with good acidity and fine balance. It is bigger and riper than Bien Nacido, but it also beautifully expresses Larner Vineyard. It is an exciting wine that will age and provide pleasure for eight plus years. Three barrels made. 33% new French oak.

Additional Information

Varietal :
Syrah
Also known as Shiraz in Australia and South Africa, Syrah makes intense, deep wines with plenty of spice, fruit and alcohol. It thrives in warm climates, and is widely grown in Australia, California, and the Rhone region of France, where it makes Cote Rotie and Hermitage, and forms the backbone of Chateauneuf du Pape. Region :
California
Since the famous Judgement of Paris in 1976 California wines have unquestionably ranked among the best in the world. From the Anderson Valley in the North through Temecula Valley in the South, California vineyards grow dozens of wine grape varietals that produce wines of many different styles. The California wine industry has steadily gained ground since the 1960s (the industry took a major hit following Prohibition), but its roots date back over 200 years. Major grape varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. View all our items from California
