Slightly more backward than its siblings, the 2008 Pinot Noir Cine Sera Fiddlestix Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills. It is made in a distinctive, more masculine style, with additional structure, tannin and meat notes intermixed with notions of cola, sassafras, cherries, pomegranate and earth. This medium-bodied 2008 will benefit from 6-12 months of bottle age, and should drink well for 5-7 years thereafter. Kudos to Paul Lato!
Winery Notes:
Five barrel lot 60 % New French oak unfiltered Dijon Clones 113, 667,777.
This could be one of the best wines ever made from this site. It has all the classic elements of a fine Pinot. Exuberant nose, full body with velvety texture and long spicy finish. The tannins are fully ripe and the wine has a harmony and grace of a great burgundy.
