The 2006 Thorevilos exhibits an extraordinary floral aroma backed up by scents of blueberries, blackberries, espresso roast, and an incredible liqueur of rocks-like component. The compelling floweriness, blue and black fruits, and full-bodied richness make this one of the most distinctive and extraordinary wines of Napa. The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Thorevilos has the same stunning aromatics. It is full-bodied, dense, powerful, and ruggedly constructed, with exquisite depth, intensity, and length. It is the most monolithic, masculine, sturdy, and perhaps the biggest of the wines from the three vintages, but the least charming, and at least for now, the least complex. This is less accessible than the 2005, and not as brilliant as the 2007, but tasting it in a vacuum, rather than sandwiched between its two siblings, it could only be considered a great Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.Additional Information
