The inky/blue/black-tinged 2005 Syrah Rosella’s Vineyard offers up scents of charcoal, acacia flowers, blackberries, blueberries, and burning embers. This full-bodied, powerful, concentrated effort reveals more structure than the Santa Lucia bottling as well as a distinct minerality/earthiness.
