Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
A brilliant effort, this dark ruby/purple-hued 2005 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyards exhibits aromas of forest floor, spring flowers, black currants, blueberries, and raspberries. Full-bodied, opulent, rich, structured, and dense, 2-3 years of cellaring will bring out additional nuances. It should keep for 12-15 years.Additional Information

Depending on where it is grown, Pinot Noir can be earthy or fruity, light-bodied or heavy, pale garnet or deep red. In France, Pinot Noir produces fine red Burgundy and is one of the three grapes used in Champagne (the skins are removed prior to fermentation to produce blanc de noir or "white from red.") It is also considered the most diverse, food-friendly wine |
