A gorgeous wine that keeps you coming back for more, offering wonderful milk chocolate, roasted oak and fruit aromas and flavors and plenty of silky tannins.Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
With time, the 1990 should prove to be the finest Bon Pasteur since the glorious 1982. The intense opaque color is impressive. Even more so is the huge nose of super-ripe black cherry fruit, mocha, tobacco, and toasty new oak. It is deep and intense, with medium to full body, excellent depth, a sweet, expansive texture, fine overall balance, and more structure and tannin than the 1989. Very impressive!Additional Information

FranceThough French wines are the highest valued wines in the world, esteemed wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne were only enjoyed locally until 150 years ago when transportation improvements made them widely available. French wine production is governed by a strict quality-control system, which regulates the grapes used in each region and classifies wineries according to an elaborate cru hierarchy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc are just a few of the important grape varietals with roots in French soil. |
