Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
A surreal wine that easily surpasses any wine I have ever tasted from this Grand Cru vineyard, it comes preciously close to perfection. It should drink well from the mid-nineties through the first two decades of the next century, perhaps even longer.

Additional Information

Sub-Region :
Burgundy
Cold winters and hot summers combine with unpredictable rainfall in Burgundy, one of France’s best and most variable wine regions. Vintages can vary widely in Burgundy, with the best years far outperforming lesser years. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes reign supreme, with the best examples coming from forty Grand Crus such as Romanée-Conti, Echézeaux and Charmes-Chambertin. Chablis, Beaujolais and Mâcon are all viticulturally part of Burgundy. View all our items from Burgundy
Region :
France
Though French wines are the highest valued wines in the world, esteemed wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne were only enjoyed locally until 150 years ago when transportation improvements made them widely available. French wine production is governed by a strict quality-control system, which regulates the grapes used in each region and classifies wineries according to an elaborate cru hierarchy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc are just a few of the important grape varietals with roots in French soil. View all our items from France
