Wine Enthusiast
By far the darkest of the first few vintages in this vertical, with intense dried fruit and maple syrup aromas marked by slightly nutty, toffee notes. It seems still youthful if thats possible in a wine nearly 80 years old, with great power and freshness and minerally notes. Doesnt have quite the spicy complexity of the 08, but its still superb.
Wine Spectator
It is incredibly concentrated yet superbly balanced. It lives up to Taylor's lofty reputation. Medium ruby-garnet, with intense raspberry and blackberry aromas, full-bodied, with rich, velvety, ripe raspberry flavors and a long thick, rich finish. It will continue to improve with age.
